The most critical thing before a tune is ensuring your oil and lubrication system are in top condition. We recommend:

  • Fully synthetic oil, changed within the last 3,000–5,000 miles

  • A fresh oil filter (OEM or high-quality aftermarket)

  • No oil leaks—especially around the cam cover, turbo lines, or sump

  • Oil level between minimum and maximum (don’t overfill)

Why?
A performance tune increases load on your engine. Dirty or degraded oil can’t protect critical components under boost, and oil starvation or overheating can cause serious failure.
